Job title: External Research & Innovation Manager
Bernat Vidal is the External Research & Innovation Manager at Almirall. He executes external growth initiatives in line with the strategic priorities to expand and reshape the medical dermatology development portfolio with true innovation. His key responsibility include leading the search, scientific assessment and together with BD, execution of transactions for early stage R&D opportunities. With over 10 years at Almirall, Bernant previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry include but are not limited to, the Head of Pharmaceutical Lifecycle Management at Almirall. Bernant was responsible for maximizing value of internal product portfolio for early and late lifecycle management opportunities. He provided strategic insights on new LCM ideas including commercial analysis from key stakeholders: payers, patients and prescribers. Prior to that Bernat was the Head of the Emerging Technologies department at Almirall, where he was responsible for scouting and the assessment of novel technology platforms as key drivers of incremental innovation in R&D projects. He has several publications from 2006-present.
